Biocarst has developed a hydrometallurgical process for recovery of magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl₂·6H₂O) from ultramafic and asbestos mine tailings. The technology converts magnesium-rich mining waste into valuable industrial raw materials while simultaneously reducing environmental liabilities associated with tailings disposal. Our process is designed as a scalable and sustainable approach for resource recovery from abandoned mine sites and other ultramafic waste deposits.
